LEGATUS™ Geo Proof™ is a certification that connects

stone – person – place – time.

From the Vyhnánov sandstone quarry – often from the same layers as stone used at Prague Castle – emerge works that carry heritage, craftsmanship, and lasting value.

About the Certificate

LEGATUS™ Geo Proof™ is the official certificate of origin and authenticity for stone from the Vyhnánov Quarry.

The certificate includes:

The stratum of extraction and exact GPS coordinates – where the stone was quarried
The name of the project and creator of the work – for example, KH Signature kitchen or the Memorial at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University
A QR code, linking to the stone’s story:- map, photographs, history, and creators

Origin of the Stone

The stone is quarried exclusively at the Vyhnánov Quarry, which is among the highest-quality sandstone deposits in Central Europe.

The certificate states the exact geological layer
(e.g. the same used for Prague Castle), along with the GPS coordinates and date of extraction.

The Story of the Stone

Each certified stone carries a story – from the moment it is quarried to its place in architecture, landscape, or an artistic work.
The QR code on the certificate links to a digital page with this story, including:

Photographs of the work and its location
Name of the creator or studio (e.g. KH Signature)
The history or philosophy of the project

LEGATUS™ – A Curatorial Mark

LEGATUS™ is a mark awarded only to works that are exceptional – in quality, origin, and concept.

In Latin, “legatus” means “legate, envoy”.
Our stone becomes an envoy of craft, landscape, and time.
